Installing IntelliAddress
  1. Can all users on ONE computer use IntelliAddress
    Yes, however it must be installed then also for each user individually. A condition is that each user occupies a Adminberechtigung, so that he can install software. Log in in addition with each user on the computer. Install for Intelliaddress. Then IntelliAddress is available for all users.

    IntelliAddress is integrated directly in Microsoft Outlook. Open Outlook on your computer and you should find the IntelliAddress key on the menu line of Outlook. Please click on this key and IntelliAddress can then become active.

  5. The installation has been completed, but the IntelliAddress menu entry does not appear in Outlook. What do I have to do?
    Should this occur, please take the following steps to ensure installation and activation of IntelliAddress:
    1. Download the newest version of IntelliAddress from our Web site.
    2. Examine whether IntelliAddress was deactivated: please go into Outlook menu check "?" by Outlook 2000, XP, 2003 whether IntelliAddress appears as a "deactivated element." If so, please activate the program. For Outlook 2007 please goto to "Tools" of the menu -> "Trust Center" -> "Addins ". And check if IntelliAddress appears as a "deactivated element.". Please don't use the macro setting for addins.
    3. Ensure your Outlook is up to date. For additional information please click here.

    Open the archive file (e.g. Archiv.pst) on the Outlook menu. Then in the IntelliAddress menu, please click "Create Address Book" and press Choose Folder for searching the archive.

    Normally, once IntelliAddress is de-installed, the menu icon is deleted automatically. If for any reason it is not deleted, please go to "Options" under the menu and manually remove the icon by dragging and dropping for removal.

  8. If an individual emails me frequently, will IntelliAddress make a double entry?
    No. IntelliAddress recognizes and ignores identical signature blocks. However, if InteliAddress spots a change in data, such as a new telephone number or email address, it is designed to prompt the user that it is recommending an edit to your existing entry.

  9. IntelliAddress scans each incoming email and shows me the newly found contact information with a prompt for confirmation. Do I have to view each prompt?
    IntelliAddress notifies you immediately of each new contact it finds within your incoming emails. You have the alternative of turning off this option, at which point new contacts can continue to be added to your Outlook Directory without prompting you about each new addition. To do that, go to the IntelliAddress Options and disable.

  12. What happens with existing addresses in Outlook that were entered manually?
    Existing entries in your Outlook remain untouched. However, with IntelliAddress, you have the option to update existing contacts based on new signature blocks that appear in your incoming emails. Also, you have the option of being prompted as to any edits to existing entries, or new contact entries that IntelliAddress finds and recommends.

    In the Outlook folder "IntelliAddress". Your existing Contact Folder will not be changed! With the function "Eliminate Duplcates" you are able to copy your existing contacts to this new folder without duplicates ("Duplicate Remover" available in IntelliAddress Professional)

  15. Why IntelliAddress do not found one contact for each E-Mail?
    IntelliAddress saves only contacts, if sufficient details are available - as post address, phone etc. If any E-Mail Address is saved as a contact this will lead to many not relevant contacts from newsletters and spam.

    In the free edition you see all contact details in the preview. Please understand that only the users of the full version are able the full contact details.

    The IntelliAddress scan algorithm only captures contact information from a signature block, and requires several different data points that make up a signature block in an email. This includes contact elements such as a physical address, postal code, city, telephone number, homepage, etc.
